Four years ago, the Republicans showed no hesitancy to attempt to smear John Kerry's war record. So, with all due respect to the sacrifice John McCain made as a prisoner in Vietnam, let's take a similarly critical look at this man's military career.
McCain graduated from the Naval Academy in 1958, fifth from the bottom of his class of 899. "Party hearty" was his mantra in a subsequent stint at aviator school.
Perhaps this explains why McCain's A-4E Skyhawk was shot down over Hanoi on Oct. 26, 1967, not the first time he crashed a plane. Perhaps this immature party animal flunked the course on "tips on evading incoming missiles while piloting your government-issued $7 million jet aircraft."
Such immaturity is likely the result of McCain coasting through life on the reputation of his admiral daddy and admiral granddaddy, just as George W. coasted thanks to his president daddy and senator granddaddy. Brave war hero without a doubt, but do we really want another spoiled underachiever in the White House?
Barack Obama had no wheels greased for him. Hard work and intelligence explains Obama's success in life, not his family name.
Vote Obama and straight Democrat.
