The closure by the San Francisco-based company puts more than 300 people out of work, the largest such layoff in Cumberland County in the past year.
Williams-Sonoma says it is shifting the Camp Hill center's operations to facilities in Oklahoma and Nevada. Last week, the company said its November and December sales sank by more than 20 percent from the year before.
Employee Carol McCormack said employees are on paid leave for the next eight-and-a-half weeks, plus an additional 60 days severance.
