A 13-year-old Dover Area Intermediate School student faces charges after he brought a steel spike-like weapon on a school bus Tuesday morning.
The teenager was showing off the weapon -- which was shaped like an F-with spikes, according to police.
The bus driver confiscated the item, which was once part of a key chain and is smaller than a person's hand, police said. The teen was showing off the item to other students, police said.
Police plan to file a possession of a weapon on school property charge against the teen in juvenile court, said Northern York County Regional Deputy Police Chief Mark Bentzel. Anything that could inflict bodily injury is defined as a weapon, he said.
