Fire investigators said a Sunday blaze at a plant in Dallastown was accidental, caused by a heater that ignited nearby materials, according to a news release Tuesday.

Firefighters were called to Gerhardt USA, 400 E. Locust St., on Sunday, and returned Monday when the fire reignited.

The investigation team -- which included York Area Regional Police, Pennsylvania State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives -- concluded the fire began in the business' "chem polishing" area and spread outwards to the facility and the roof.

The exact loss is unknown, although it has exceeded $2 million, the news release states. No one was injured in the fire.
