The Central York and Susquehannock softball teams will have to deal with the extreme heat and their opponents in the PIAA semifinals this afternoon.

In Class AAA, the Warriors will face Belle Vernon at 3 p.m.

In Class AAAA, the Panthers will face Latrobe at 5 p.m.

Both games at being played at Penn State's Altoona campus in western Pennsylvania. At 1:50 p.m. today, the temperature in Altoona was 99 degrees.

Today's semifinal winners will advance to Friday's state championship games at Shippensburg University.
