MEADVILLE, Pa.—A Crawford County man has pleaded guilty to indecent assault of a 2-year-old boy.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors on Thursday dropped rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and child endangerment charges against 24-year-old William Talmadge III of Vernon Township.

Prosecutors say Talmadge sexually assaulted the child between May and July 2007.

Talmadge will be assessed by the state to determine if he is a sexually violent predator.

The indecent assault guilty plea subjects Talmadge to be listed as a sex offender under Pennsylvania's Megan's Law.

Talmadge is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 10.
