During the Dave Matthews Band show in Hershey Friday, concert-goers will have the opportunity to register to vote, according to a news release from www.headcount.org.
Dave Matthews Band has partnered with the non-profit, non-partisan voter registration group HeadCount in an effort to register more than 100,000 voters at more than 1000 concerts and festivals in 2008.
HeadCount has volunteer teams in more than 50 cities and has two full-time volunteers on the road that travel with DMB to activate street teams and mobilize voter registration, the organization said.
Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Pearl Jam and John Mayer are committed to registering voters for this year's election and have funded the HeadCount volunteers to join them on the road, the news release states.
