Joe Finley and Michael Dubuc scored goals for the Hershey Bears on Friday night, but it wasn't enough, as the Bears dropped a 4-2 decision to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in their exhibition opener at Giant Center.

The Penguins, playing in their third exhibition game, got a pair of goals from Kevan Veilleux in the victory.

Goalies Jason Bacashihua and Todd Ford each gave up a pair of goals while splitting time in net.

The Bears and the Penguins will square off again tonight at Wilkes-Barre's Wachovia Arena before the Bears close out their exhibition season Sunday by hosting Norfolk.

Friday also saw the Washington Capitals assign two more players to Hershey. Jay Beagle and Mathieu Perreault, both regulars on last season's Calder Cup team, are expected to take part in practice this morning.
