York Container Co. in Springettsbury Township has broken ground on a 60,000-square-foot addition that looks to help strengthen the manufacturer and its service to its customers.

While the company has no plans to hire any additional workers to staff its new building, York Container will use the space to improve the efficiencies of its production flow.

York Container manufactures custom corrugated packaging and displays and employs 227 workers.
