Tax Aide Volunteers, sponsored by the AARP Tax Aide Foundation, will once again provide Tax Counseling for the Elderly to older citizens of Adams County.

The tax assistance program is in cooperation with the IRS and the Adams County Office for Aging Inc.

This free service can address tax issues for most middle to low-income taxpayers.

From Feb. 3 through April 15, Tax Counseling for the Elderly counselors will be available every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Adams County Office for Aging office, 318 W. Middle St., Gettysburg. The volunteers have been trained to complete federal, state, and local returns, as well as property tax and rent rebate applications. Help is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
