Who can attend: Boys and girls, ages 7-12 who have asthma
What's offered: Campers learn how to prevent and control their asthma; swimming, arts and crafts and sports; classroom instruction
Cost: $50, includes class notebook, water bottle, backpack, T-shirt, snacks and lunch (scholarships are available)

Pennsylvania Lions Beacon Lodge Camp
When: June 14 to Aug. 20 (sessions include transitional care, special care and visually impaired)
Where: Mount Union (along the Juniata River)
Coordinated by: Lions Clubs of Pennsylvania
Who can attend: Special-needs resident camp for children and adults
What's offered: Six- and 11-day sessions for children and adults who are blind/visually impaired; physically and mentally challenged children and adults. Activities include bowling, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boating, rock climbing, arts and crafts, music and fishing
