Police in Lancaster County identified a man whose body was found in the Susquehanna River on Thursday as Gregory A. Stone, 48, of Dauphin County.

Stone's death was caused by fresh water drowning, and his manner of death is still under investigation, Susquehanna Regional Police said today.

Stone's body was discovered about 6 p.m. by two men fishing in a shallow area of the river near the shore just south of Three Mile Island in Conoy Township.

Police are asking that anyone who may have information about Stone's death to call the department at 426-1164.
