A York woman was tied up and robbed at gunpoint in her home early Thursday morning.

Police released more details about the crime today.

Wanda D. Harris, 37, who lives in an apartment in the 200 block of Park Place, told police she opened her door for expected company when two men forced their way into her apartment around 1 a.m.

Two men in dark clothing, both armed, pushed her to the floor and tied her up, police said.

They then took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the building, police said.

Harris got herself loose, cleaned up the apartment and called 911, police said. The victim had a minor scratch to her finger, police said.

Harris's children were upstairs sleeping at the time of the robbery, police said.

The suspects are described as medium in build and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall.

The robbery has been referred to the city's detective bureau for further investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call city police at 846-1234.
