A York man was jumped and later cut with a knife as he was visiting a public housing complex in the city.
Maurice D. Edward, 21, of the 500 block of East Philadelphia Street, told police he was visiting the Cable House Apartments, 400 E. Princess St., just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday when he was jumped as he got onto an elevator, police said.
A witness separated the two and took Edwards to his apartment, police said.
The suspect then kicked in the door and cut Edwards, police said. Edwards was taken to York Hospital to be treated for cuts to his right arm, police said.
Edwards did not want to file charges and was uncooperative with the investigation, police said.
