An 18-year-old was driving 78.5 mph in a 35-mph zone and was drunk Monday when he crashed into the New Oxford Square, according to police.

Griffin Andre Stambaugh, of the 300 block of New Bloomfield, Perry County, was charged with DUI, underage drinking and other related traffic offenses, according to Eastern Adams Regional Police.

Stambaugh damaged a guide rail, park benches, sidewalk and grass during the Adams County crash, which occurred shortly before 1 a.m.

He had a 0.126 percent blood alcohol content, according to a blood test taken at Hanover Hospital.
