In desperate need of receivers, the Nittany Lions didn't go far to find their latest prospect.
Camp Hill's Christian Kuntz, of Trinity High, gave Penn State a verbal commitment on the Fourth of July. He picked the Lions over scholarship offers from Connecticut, Akron and Buffalo. He also was recruited by Notre Dame, but did not have a offer.
Kuntz (6-foot-4, 190 pounds) caught 21 passes for 426 yards and ran the ball 115 times for 813 yards last fall. He also was a standout hurdler, earning district and state medals this spring. He reportedly has a 4.46 40-yard time.
He is Penn State's 15th commitment of this recruiting class -- and the first pure receiver prospect.
