MECHANICSBURG -- Defending limited sprint champion Pat Cannon held off the charge of World of Outlaws star Tim Shaffer to win the 25-lap sprint car feature Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway.
Andy Anderson won the 25-lap late model feature.
Cannon started on the pole and beat Shaffer into the first turn to take the lead. He never faltered in lapped traffic and kept Shaffer at bay en route to the $3,000 victory.

Cannon, 29, of Etters, made his sprint car debut just a week earlier and was making his first feature start on Friday night.
Car owner Zane Highlands, like his driver, had been in victory lane with sportsman and limited sprints, but Friday was also his first 410 sprint car victory.
Shaffer held off Ryan Bohlke to finish second.
Bohlke's third-place effort was his best career finish at Williams Grove.
Brian Montieth took third from Bohlke in the late stages, but couldn't hold the spot and settled for fourth.
Fred Rahmer came from the 12th starting position to complete the top five and increase his lead in the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass point standings. Brian Paulus, Don Kreitz Jr., Lance Dewease, Chad Layton and Greg Hodnett finished in positions six through 10, respectively.
Meanwhile, Anderson started fourth and took the lead on the
Stuhler took the lead briefly on lap 21, but a caution flag negated the pass and he was unable to do it again through the remaining four laps.
It was Anderson's second career victory at the Grove. Stuhler, J. T. Spence, Jason Covert, D. J. Myers, Scott Haus, Jim Yoder, Alan Sagi, Dan Stone and Tyler Armstrong completed the top 10.
