The $2.5 million expansion project for Cross Keys Fellowship Church in Hamilton Township, Adams County, is complete. A dedication is planned for 1 p.m. Nov. 8.

The New Oxford church raised more than $1.4 million to pay for the new, 15,000-square-foot building. Each church member made an average donation of $5,600 toward the project.

The church purchased 47 acres at 785 Berlin Road and already completed two baseball fields, a soccer field, a parking lot and storm-water retention areas.

Church leaders are selling their former home to Place of Refuge Ministries for $425,000 -- money that will go toward paying off the new building. The first worship service on Berlin Road will be 10:15 a.m. Nov. 15.
