Organist Burton Tidwell will perform 7 p.m. Saturday on the newly renovated organ (which he helped build) at First Presbyterian Church of York.

During his career, Tidwell has served as vice president of the Schantz Organ Co., a consultant to Allen Organ Co. and most recently worked to create cutting-edge pipe organs. A church musician, he serves churches in Kansas.

Also on Saturday, Tidwell will conduct a free workshop 1 to 4 p.m. in conjunction with Menchey Music Service and First Presbyterian, focusing on the integration of music technology and the traditional pipe organ. RSVP for the workshop by calling 888-636-2439.
