There will be six participants in the Atlantic League All-Star Home Run Derby, which will take place before Wednesday's all-star game at Commerce Bank Ballpark in Somerset, N.J.
Third baseman Brandon Larson, first baseman Josh Pressley and utility player Matt Hagen were all selected to participate in the derby from the host Somerset Patriots.
Ray Navarrete of the Long Island Ducks and Jesse Hoorelbeke of the Bridgeport Bluefish were tied for the league lead with 15 home runs in the first half to earn their spots in the contest.
And Ron Davenport of the Camden Riversharks had 10 home runs for Camden in the first half and will round out the six participants.
Each contestant will get five outs in the first round to see how many home runs they can hit, with anything other than a home run considered an out. The top three players with the highest number of home runs will move on to the second round.
In the second round, all totals from the previous round are wiped out and the players will get seven outs. The winner of the second round will be declared the winner of the derby.

All bidders are asked to be present for the Aug. 6 game against the Newark Bears and check in at 6:30 p.m. in the fan service center to see if they are the highest bidder.
All bids will start at $50 per jersey.
'Stormers lose: Clint Nageotte and the Long Island Ducks bullpen combined to allow five and one run in a 4-1 victory over the Lancaster Barnstormers on Sunday night in front 4,908 fans at Clipper Magazine Stadium.
Long Island went up 2-0 in the third inning when Ray Navarrete, who was 3-for-5, blasted a two-run homer over the right-center field wall for the Ducks.
Navarrete drove in another run with a single in the fifth inning. Long Island added another run in the sixth when after Edgardo Alfonzo doubled, and Damian Rolls drove him in with a single to center.

The best players from the Freedom and Liberty Divisions will take the field for the 2008 Atlantic League All-Star Game at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at Commerce Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, N.J.
There will also be pre-game festivities, including the Home Run Derby, an autograph session with all the All-Star players and coaches, live music and more.
