The York Revolution got off to a strong start and never took their foot off the accelerator pedal on Saturday night at Citibank Park in Central Islip, N.Y.
The Revs scored five times in the first inning and ripped Long Island, 12-7, for their second win in as many nights against the Ducks.
Just 24 hours after pounding out a franchise-record-tying 20 hits, York (4-4) cracked 14 more, including a bases-loaded double by Sandy Aracena, which plated three runs in the first.
For the second straight night, all nine starters in the Revs' lineup picked up at least one hit.
Leading 5-1 through three innings, York tacked on three more runs in the fourth to go up, 8-1, which put the game out of reach for good.
Richard Hidalgo (solo in the second inning) and Carl Everett (two-run shot in the eighth) homered for the Ducks (4-4).
The three-game weekend series ends with a 5:05 p.m. contest today. York's Dave Gil (2-3, 5.79 ERA) opposes Long Island's Alay Soler (1-2, 5.33).
