There will be six participants in the Atlantic League All-Star Home Run Derby, which will take place before Wednesday's all-star game at Commerce Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, N.J.

Third baseman Brandon Larson, first baseman Josh Pressley and utility player Matt Hagen were all selected to participate in the derby from the host Somerset

Patriots.

Ray Navarrete of the Long Island Ducks and Jesse Hoorelbeke of the Bridgeport Bluefish were tied for the league lead with 15 home runs in the first half to earn their spots in the contest.

And Ron Davenport of the Camden Riversharks had 10 home runs for Camden in the first half and will round out the six participants.

Each contestant will get five outs in the first round to see how many home runs they can hit, with anything other than a home run considered an out. The top three players with the highest number of home runs will move on to the second round.

In the second round, all totals from the previous round are wiped out and the players will get seven outs. The winner of the second round will be declared the winner of the derby.
