HARRIBURG -- The Central York softball team advanced to the PIAA Class AAAA semifinals with a 2-0 victory over Lower Dauphin this afternoon at Brightbill Park.

Lower Dauphin had previously won this year's District 3 Class AAAA tournament, while the Panthers were third in districts.

Central York's next game will be Monday, against the winner of today's game between District 7's Latrobe and Shaler.

The state championship game will be played at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 13, at Shippensburg University's Robb Field.
