Penn State's unmatched depth on the defensive line took yet another hit over the weekend. Redshirt freshman tackle Devon Still (6-foot-5, 296 pounds) broke his left ankle during a preseason scrimmage Saturday. He is expected to undergo surgery this week and will miss eight to 10 weeks, according to Wayne Sebastianelli, Penn State's team doctor. It is likely that Still will miss his second consecutive season because of injury after sitting out in 2007 because of a torn ACL.

The Nittany Lions already lost two defensive tackles, former starters Chris Baker and Phil Taylor, who were thrown off the team for personal problems.
