Back in the Somerset lineup for the first time since suiting up for Team Canada's Olympic team, outfielder Ryan Radmanovich helped seal a Patriots' victory at Commerce Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, N.J.

Radmanovich hit a two-run double in the seventh inning Wednesday night, powering the Patriots to a 5-2 win over the York Revolution.

A two-time Olympian, Radmanovich, 37, played in six of Canada's seven Olympic outings as his team placed fifth at the Games.

York starter Dave Gil made his first start since Aug. 14 as he attempts to recover from biceps tendinitis. Gil pitched three scoreless innings, and Jason Olson pitched another three scoreless.

But Saul Solveson (1-1) found himself pitching out of jams in the sixth and seventh innings.

The former Patriots reliever retired the first two batters in the seventh before surrendering consecutive walks and a double to Radmanovich.

He also allowed three runs in the sixth, after it appeared he had a chance to work out of a bases-loaded jam with no outs. He forced the Patriots to hit into a double play, but then hit Travis Anderson to load the bases again.

Somerset pinch-hitter Jason Belcher snapped the scoreless tie with an RBI infield single. Elliott Ayala added two more runs, hitting a single over the infield.

Patriots starter Jim Magrane (6-10) struck out three and walked one in 71/3 innings. He allowed only one baserunner to advance to second base through the first seven innings.
