Former Dover Area High School and Shippensburg University football standout and current Green Bay Packer fullback John Kuhn caught a 1-yard pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers to record his first career NFL touchdown and provide the game-winning score in a 27-17 victory on Sunday afternoon over the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field in Seattle.
It was the first catch of the season for Kuhn, who now has three receptions in 22 career games as a fullback for the Packers. Last week, he earned his second career start against the Atlanta Falcons after making his first career start last season in the NFC Championship game against the New York Giants.
Kuhn holds 27 Shippensburg University records and six PSAC records. He finished his career with 4,685 yards rushing, 910 carries, 53 touchdowns, 5,300 all-purpose yards and 26 games with at least 100 yards rushing, all school records. He graduated from Shippensburg in December 2004 with a degree in chemistry and 3.293 grade-point average.
