A night after getting 20 hits in a losing effort to Bridgeport, York took to the big fly five times to tie a franchise mark and claim the middle game of the series against Bridgeport on Tuesday night.

Coming off the longest nine-inning game in Revolution franchise history, Tuesday's game had another unusual occurrence -- a 22-minute delay after the stadium lights went out in the bottom of the eighth.

The power outage didn't slow the Revs' offense, which pounded out 12 hits in a 12-2 win in front of 4,230 fans at Sovereign Bank Stadium. Jason Aspito led the Revs' charge with two home runs, a double, three runs scored and five RBIs.

"We hit the ball well tonight," York manager Chris Hoiles said. "We got good starting pitching.

Keoni DeRenne advances to third on a wild pitch, sliding safely under a wide throw as Bridgeport third baseman Luis Lopez stretches for the ball. The Revs won big Tuesday night, 12-2 over the Bluefish.

(Aaron) Rakers threw a hell of a game. Everything was good tonight."

York (5-6) broke open a 3-1 game after the second inning, scoring seven runs over the next two innings.

The Revs also received a solid outing from Rakers,

who went six innings, allowed seven hits and two runs, only one of which was earned. The right-hander walked one and struck out seven while picking up his sixth win of the year.

"I was just trying to be aggressive, especially when we had the lead," Rakers said.

In the third inning, Kennard Jones started the inning with a base-hit, stole second and scored on Keoni

DeRenne's single to center field.

Two batters later, with two outs, Shea Hillenbrand extended his hitting streak to 14 games with a single high off the Arch Nemesis in left field, driving in DeRenne with the Revs' fifth run.

But, it was the five-run fourth inning for the Revs that opened the game up.

York sent eight batters to the plate that inning, three of whom hit a home run. It was the first time in franchise history that the Revs have homered three times in an inning.

Matt Dryer led off the fourth with a home run to center field off Bridgeport (8-3) starter Tim Drew. Two batters later, Enrique

Revs pitcher Aaron Rakers, shown here warming up between innings, turned in a solid outing Tuesday. He picked up his sixth victory while walking one and striking out seven batters.

Cruz launched his fourth dinger of the season -- and second in two nights -- over the Arch Nemesis to give the Revs a 7-1 lead.

"We're all feeling more comfortable at the plate," Aspito said.

Following a base-hit by Jones and a walk to Chris Ashby, Aspito launched his first homer of the night, a shot to left field that bounced off the top of the left-field wall onto Arch Street.

"I hit it well, I just didn't think it would get over the wall," Aspito said. "The baseball gods were on my side on that one."

The Revs tacked on their final two runs of the game in the seventh on Aspito's team-leading 14th homer of the season, a two-run shot to right field.

"Jason's been doing it all year long for us, offensively and defensively," Hoiles said. "He does it all. He hits the ball to all fields, and defensively he'd run through a wall for you."
